About the event
Research shows that intensive outpatient programs can speed the rate of recovery for many people suffering from mental illness, addiction and chronic pain. In this session, Dr. Rob Tanguay, psychiatrist, and chief medical officer, of The Newly Institute speaks about:
- The current state of mental health conditions in Canada and the complexity of conditions such as PTSD, moral injury, chronic pain and addiction requiring a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach
- The medical science of Intensive Outpatient Programs for occupational psychological injuries, addiction, and chronic pain.
- Why this approach to intensive treatment works to reduce the duration of disabilities and increase recovery rates over traditional approaches to treatment.
Dr. Tanguays presentation is scheduled for November 23rd between 1:15PM - 1:45PM EST
